If you want to watch live sports, highlights, and ESPN programming on your Roku device, you'll need to activate the ESPN app using ESPN.com/activate. The setup process is quick and only requires an activation code and your TV provider or ESPN account credentials.
1. Install ESPN App
You need the ESPN app on your Roku before activation.
On Roku home screen → Streaming Channels → Search Channels

Type ESPN in the search bar

Select the ESPN app

Click Add Channel to install
2. Launch ESPN App
Opening the app generates your activation code.

Go to Home → ESPN

Open the app

Navigate to Settings → TV Provider Login

Note the activation code displayed on your TV
3. Visit espn.com/activate
Enter the activation code on a separate device.

On your phone or computer, open a browser

Go to espn.com/activate

Enter the activation code from your Roku

Click Continue
4. Sign In With Provider
Link your ESPN app to your TV subscription.

Select your TV provider from the list

Enter your provider username and password

Once verified, Roku will refresh and ESPN will be activated
